It might just be that in Japan, "king" ("ou") can refer to just the title, not the sex. For example, in "Kemono no Souja Erin", the "True King" seems female to me.

I haven't seen any evidence of this on this board or anywhere else. If somebody went into, say, 4chan /u/ and started posting het Nanoha to elicit a reaction, I would be inclined to call that trolling, but I've been on 4chan for five years and I haven't seen it happen. The only time I've seen it posted is when it's confined to its own threads, which are then invaded by yuri fanatics screaming bloody murder, suggesting they went out of their way to find their 'objectionable' material all by themselves.

Indeed, I've mostly seen it the other way around. Fans of het pairings will try to have a nice thread, not intending to bother anyone, but then the yuri elitists come in and start preaching about how 'wrong' het fans are, and how 'canon' NanoFate is. Nothing in Nanoha is canonical, expect Chrono/Amy, more or less. And even if it was, het fans can still ship whoever they want, canon be damned.

Case in point: the het thread on his board. It was going on peacefully for months, but then the yuri fans came and caused a shit storm. Completely unnecessary.

Just because some one prefers a heterosexual coupling doesn't make them homophobic, and it doesn't mean they think the gays don't deserve rights. Personally, I only see Nanoha and Fate as very close friends. I can't imagine their relationship moving past that. Why does it need to, for that matter?

Hehehe. Kentaro Yabuki is amazing (owns all 20 volumes of Black Cat). I just love how the characters are contantly changing clothes. Outside of their school uniforms, they wear a wide variety of stuff. Most animes and mangas have only one or two alternate outfits for characters (unless it's a shoujo title. I love shoujo).
