To be honest, I wasn't that big a fan of Fate's in the first two seasons. I liked her and all, but I liked other characters such as Nanoha and Hayate more.

However, come StrikerS when I saw her in her training gear, I was all "Damn, she's become a mighty fine woman." Sometimes all it takes is something simple like a plain old t-shirt to make you take notice.

Her displays of her maternal side were also a surprising turn on. Not in the sense that I want her to be my mom, but in the primal instinct sense of "That's the kind of woman I want to raise my kids!"

And then I fell in love. Course this is rather strange considering not only am I a siscon, I'm a lolicon too. So falling for a fully developed mother figure is something new.

In A's, I liked how cute and shy she was. When I saw her in Strikers, I started to admire her for various reasons. Fate is the second anime character I wish was real. Or at least there was a real person who has her personality but that's probably impossible. In a sense, she's not a "waifu" to me but more like someone I'd like to watch closely... The author used it from plot purposes as we see in the supplemental material and in the latest installments of this universe involving the mentioned characters. Even if there is not a direct expression of love on screen between them, like a kiss, the fans accept their relationship as something from the series since it's portrayed as a relationship that has progressed to something more mature than a physical thing. But seeing the kind of picture you posted I suppose we can't expect anything from you.
