She always had, that's Linith. She didn't have much of a role in the anime aside from one or two side mentions from Fate. The only time we have seen her was in A's, when Fate got absorbed by the Book of Darkness.

I'm note quite sure if her entire purpose was to instruct Fate in magic, or if that was simply Precia's last command... You could be right though. I do know that Linith was Precia familiar. After that last command, Precia ended her contract with Linith, and no longer getting mana from Precia, Linith died.

Hmmm interesting to see that Linith got some part and from what I could see it seems that she's filling in a similar role to a mother figure or older sister to Fate when she was still around.

Glad Seven Arcs put more effort into this than they did the Inukami movie.

I dislike Fate's split cape though.

hey, the Inukami movie was good for what it was. i have never seen so many elephants in my life. not to mention that was the ONLY Nanoha parody/reference i saw ever in an anime (no, last week's Hayate no Gotoku episode doesn't count).

can't wait to watch it on Blu-ray since that's the only (legal) way to watch outside of the theater. so, practically a year from now i'll be watching it crisp and clear on my PS3.

I was just rereading the September issue of Megami I picked up at a con, only this time actually paying attention, and I noticed a two-page spread announcing another manga: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st The COMICS. My knowledge of Japanese is fairly limited, but as far as I can tell, it's going to be eleven chapters and the first chapter is coming out on Sept 30th. Has anyone else heard or seen anything about this? I can post a picture if anyone wants (digital camera, not scanner).

I'm not sure where this came from but I'm assuming somebody translated 2ch comments.

In the movie, a pink orb is first gathered, where the magic around the battlefield made the aura 3x (or more) larger than usual. Next the magic circle will form around the large circle and another small orb will be formed in front of the large, and finally a one straight laser (assuming aiming at the target). Nanoha then grabs the trigger and when she fires, the small orb will shoot a straight line first, then followed by a very huge blast from the large orb. This attack decimated almost the WHOLE battlefield where she and Fate fought in.

I love it. Fate looks like a real (melee) fighter. Whereas in the TV series, she was more like a magic user who just happened to know how to use a scythe. I think the bows are corny though. Nanoha seems go God mode during her transformations so I'm excited about seeing it in the movie. I'm sure every second of Nanoha's ascension to warrior goddess is just as much worth it as Fate's short and very sweet transformation.

Nanoha has the crystal thing in the center of her chest, plus the 'underjacket' with the black edging, the black edging on the end of her sleeves, and the gloves are different. A lot those changes were given to her in A's when she got her upgrade ;)

wow, i thought it was obvious to anyone who's seen the 1st season. well here's what i can mention:

for Nanoha:

-the blue cuff on the edge of her sleeve is bulkier than any other season (more of a mecha look)

-there's red gems on her shoes versus the blue spot from season 1

-he shoes are sleeker and not as loose as the 1st season

-there's a blue streak going down her sleeve where as in the 1st season it's plain white

for Fate:

-her stockings are a mix from season 1 and A's which can be seen at the top part of the stocking

-her cape has a slit in the middle making it look more like wings

Also, the blue cuffs you mentioned are made of metal now. I quite like that, since it gives more of an 'armour' feel, in contrast to her earlier barrier jacket.

Watched the movie camrip...Simply amazing~

Better than the first season. I feel newfound empathy for Fate 'cause she's just so wistful, kind, and tragic in this installment. And her back story certainly helps.

The movie got a massive boost in animation and all the battles are simply amazing. The rest of the characters improved as well.

The Cam-rip is already out by BBS. The quality is horrendous and their are a lot of lines across the video. I'd wait for the DVD. Does anyone know When its out?

Right I had a look at it and stopped before even quater way through it, it's good and i like it but it condensed about 3-4 episode of stuff into one.

Like Nanoha knowing how to fly, shoot and use protection all in one episode, which is fine i guess to fit all of this in 2 hours, and RH teaching her most of them.

Still it made me think that they really want to phase out Yunno completely... hell if they could kill him off they would! which pretty much makes me wonder should he even be in it other than to be bashed and be the prince to be safed by the princess... just me ranting but don't read too much into it i still like how they gone with the story... but I can't comment too much when I only seem a small portion of it.

Hmmm I wonder will they go on to do the next movie with the book of Darkness THEN redo Strikers??? would be intereting to see if they do the next three as well.

Well, I hate to say it, but the people in the theater probably didn't pay to see him. Or anyone else in the cast except Nanoha and Fate, probably. Remaking the first series, before the cast exploded in size, ensures maximum screen time for them.

When I watched the movie, I was expecting NanoFate raburabu and it almost delivered. Still more blatant yuri implications than the original, though.
