Well, I'm merely comparing the two mangas thus far. Vivid seems just be fluff that isn't going anywhere plot wise and doesn't appear to be trying to do anything other than be cute. Where as Force is the '4th Season' that is clearly trying to actually tell a story with some depth.
Basically, Vivid is the apetizer while Force is the main course. The main course is always more satisfying than the apetizer.
Of course this is all just my opinion.

I just realised that for a series revolving around magical combat Nanoha has quite a low fatality rate, if you ignore the massacre of unnamed bystanders in the latest Force.

i honestly don't like doujins (in particular of the H ones) of series that i know/like......but Nineteens was the first to break that barrier probably because the drawings look sooooo similar to that of the anime that it's scary. Nineteens is the only H doujin that i like though.

Kamogawa Tanuki is the god of Nanoha doujinshi. The funny thing is that if you've seen his other manga he really hasn't altered his art style to look like the anime's, it was pretty much the same already.

Gonna have to disagree with you guys there. Kamogawaya's art isn't that great. Designs look just like the anime's? Hardly. Not only are the proportions off (oversized breasts, big thighs, small heads), but all he does is reuse the same model only with different hair styles. If you superimpose his images with the same pose together, you'll see that everything is the same except the hair. Sure, it's still fappable, but in the end it's just lazy.
PLUM, now there is a circle worthy of the highest praise!

well, that's just your personal preference which i'll respect and not bash to smithereens (gasp respect on this board? hell has frozen over). when i said the designs were like the anime, i was mainly talking about the area above the neck. sure proportions below that area may be exaggerated....but i'm not one to complain about that when it comes to (adult) Nanoha and (adult) Fate. for me, i think the face/head resemblance to the anime is what really reeled me in to thinking "wow, this is a first" when reading a doujin. again, i'm not too critical about certain nitpicky things like the superimposing that you mentioned. if it's a fappable doujin of Nanoha, which is rare in my case, then i'm all for it.
acutally, i haven't seen the PLUM versions everyone is raving about. i'll have to take a look then to see how it stacks up to the Ninteens series.....for me of course

Tokoharu is really good. Their art is very pretty but a bit too... how to describe it... sketchy, maybe? I prefer solid lines with more definition, and Tokoharu has a more empherical look. They mostly just NanoFate fluff, but they do the occasional faptastic image/doujinshi. It would be nice if they had more variety in their content, though.

I'd agree about Tokoharu's art. It looks really great but if you have bad eyes then everything can be really hard to define, especially the H-scenes. A few more solid lines won't hurt them.
