Actually, it's more likely that Fate doesn't do a lot of exercising while on missions. There's a LOT of sitting in the ship, driving cars, teleporting and not a lot of fighting. And that's just from watching Chrono and Lindy in S1 and A's.

Erio, on the other hand, is (basically) a forest ranger.

And, yes, Teana takes Nanoha's points to zero with Starlight Breaker.

Vivid starting to suck. Yes.

Not much of a fan of Force, either, but I hope the aces have their shining moments there.

Never liked the new StrikerS cast...

It's all very well complaining that it sucks because the strikers can go toe-to-toe with Nanoha and crew and not be instantly flattened, but it would be ridiculous by this stage if they couldn't stand up to them.

After all, this is four years after StrikerS, and they've been training that entire time, and are probably approaching their peaks in terms of ability, whereas Nanoha and Fate have been about at that peak for about 5 years by now.

Essentially, the older characters can't get much more powerful (and haven't been able to since StrikerS), whereas the younger ones can and have.

I don't like how this basically feels like filler, though. Where are the antagonists?

i don't think Vivid was meant to follow the Nanoha formula of having antagonists who end up being friends in the end. well, Einhart can be considered one.....but surely she's not an "antagonist" per say. Vivid is more about the fanservice more than anything. come on, Fate losing by losing her clothes?....you know that was a set up for Fate fans. i like the Starlight Breakers colliding though

I'd like to think Fate losing her clothes was a setup for Fate fans, but it was still a pretty low blow to Fate fans. From my perspective, at least. As I am a Fate fan, I found it pretty ridiculous for Fate to lose to Erio in such a lackluster fashion. Sure, bring out Fate's strongest form just so Erio can rip it to pieces almost instantly!

Sigh, disappointing.

Yeah, they did say the adults had Power Limiters on to make it fair. It's reasonable to assume Nanoha and Fate's are bigger than the others' - probably why Corono actually survived that Starlight Breaker explosion.
