Hi, guys. Is anyone around here fluent in Japanese? There's one thing bothering me in movie, so I wanted to check it. It's this moment in movie, about 1:34:40 in Thora/Commie's release, but it's same as in "official" subtitles (we all know it's taken from camrip fansub). From what I hear and know, Precia should be saying that dominant hand, magical abilities and personalities are DIFFERENT, not same as it is stated in traslation.

As far as I know, Precia and Fate are both right-handed, but in A's ep. 11 we can see Alicia holding fork in different hand from Precia, but in the same as in recording on about same time in movie, so it most likely did not change between movie and TV series, but I still wanted to make sure. So is it mistranslation or just misconception on my side?

I noticed it too.

Fate is right-handed, Alicia is left-handed. Failsubs failed hard.

Obviously these differences led Precia to claim she's a failure because she's not exactly Alicia.

While I haven't had the chance to check, a while back others did indeed claim that the translation of that scene was botched.

umm....from my personal understanding of what was being said, they actually translated it right. so from my perspective, it was a goof on the script writer's part and not the translation.

I'm japanese and yes they did mistranslated the line.
The scene is supposed to depict what >>2 has mentioned.

Although I haven't seen the subbed one, I think it is safe to say that the whole movie could be horribly translated imao.

Actually from what I checked (checking lines while watching the movie) the translation is decent overall.
